SHL Telemedicine, today announced that it will rebrand its subsidiary PHTS Telemedizin, Germany’s leading provider of telemedical care programs

Tel Aviv/Zurich, 29 June 2009 – SHL Telemedicine Ltd. (SIX Swiss Exchange: SHLTN), a leading provider and developer of advanced personal telemedicine solutions, today announced that it will rebrand its subsidiary PHTS Telemedizin, Germany’s leading provider of telemedical care programs, as SHL Telemedizin. SHL Telemedizin will continue to offer its telemedicine services from its medical monitor centre in Dusseldorf. With a common, strong brand, SHL will press forward to further develop and promote the future of telemedicine.

“Telemedicine offers numerous possibilities, be it in the prevention or in the monitoring of chronic diseases,” explains Yariv Alroy, Co-CEO of SHL Telemedicine. “Over the past 21 years, we have developed from a pioneer in telemedicine to an established provider. We are convinced that it has the potential of becoming a component of standard medical care and people’s daily routine. Both the individual and the health care system will benefit from it.”

Today, the advantages of telemedicine programs for cardiovascular patients with chronic and acute conditions have already been proven by SHL in several studies. Patients with congestive heart failure, for example, have to be admitted to a hospital significantly less often and for shorter periods of time, unnecessary calls for emergency medical assistance are reduced, and patients feel more secure and regain quality of life. Moreover, health care costs decrease considerably.
